Andrew Jones Associates ltd is a thriving registered RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based in the London Borough of Sutton and Surrey.  The practice was founded in November 1991 and run by Chartered Architect Andrew Jones RIBA with the support of dedicated freelance Architects and Architectural Assistants.

 

Andrew studied at Oxford Polytechnic, (currently Oxford Brookes University); obtained a Higher National Diploma in Construction (1980); BA (Hons) Architecture (1983); Dipl Arch (1986); and qualified as a registered Architect (1987).  He rapidly established his professional career in London working for the reputable Building Surveyor company, George Trollope & Sons (1987-88); and achieving Associate Director level in the fashionable Chelsea based architectural practice, Assael Architecture (1988-91).  In November 1991 he set up his own South London/Surrey based architectural practice which has thrived over the years to current times specialising in an interesting variety of residential refurbishment/new build projects and restaurant/bar commissions. The practice initially operated as a sole trader prior to being incorporated as a limited company in June 2013.

 

Andrew has a confident  “hands on approach” for all stages of architectural design and implementation from inception through to contract administration and offers a wealth of experience and value to all projects.   Andrew has the reputation of creating an element of surprise and excitement in all of his projects, adding unexpected features, more natural light, and individual style.  As many of his clients will testify his designs and thoroughness not only meet their needs, image and budget but also well exceed expectation.

 

The practice client base covers a wide spectrum of commercial and domestic sectors with projects involving office/retail refurbishment; restaurant & bar design; nursing home conversion; bespoke new build residential & commercial buildings; domestic extensions, refurbishment and loft conversions; barn conversions; loft apartment fit out; fire/water damage re-instatement; subterranean developments and works to Listed Buildings. Most commissions are London-Surrey based through “word of mouth”; RIBA referrals and repeat business.  Andrew also covers areas as far a field as Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Sussex and welcomes all new enquiries and the opportunity of helping to realise client’s dreams and objectives.

 

Andrew has worked alongside the innovative and award winning Interior Designer Kelly Hoppen as Lead Architect on a stylish conversion of a Harley Street medical centre into a luxury recuperation home for celebrities.  He has also worked with Candy & Candy, the renowned top London and International Property Developers & Interior Designers acting as their consultant Architect securing Planning, Listed Building and Landlord consent for a number of complex exclusive State-of-the-Art residential refurbishment projects in Westminster, Belgravia and Kensington.  Restaurant clients include the entrepreneurial London based “Thai Tho” chain founder, Nicky Santichatsak; and celebrity studded Ciro Orsini, founder of the international Ciro’s Pizza Pomodoro chain.   Andrew was the Project Architect for the extensive restoration of Paddy McNally’s’ Grade II Listed Country house which was awarded a prestige Georgian Group Award in 2010.

 

Andrew was born on 3, September 1958 in Swansea, South Wales.  His aspirations of becoming an Architect started at the early age of fourteen and his enthusiasm in the field of Architecture following the realisation of his dream has not diminished. He has a passion for endurance rowing and cycling and is currently actively involved in challenging road bike sportives for various charity events. Other interests include Fast Cars, Film, Music and staging private multi-media themed events under the name of “Scandalous Productions.”
